In the summer of 2012, I made this documentary about a French feminist called Olympe de Gouges. She is a feminist who isn’t well known even though she wrote the very first declaration of the rights of woman!
Olympe de Gouges lived during the French Revolution – a time when woman were not allowed to do anything. She is a true feminist, killed by the guillotine for rebellious behaviour and I really hope that she will be honoured for all she accomplished.
